2011 Community Concerts

2008 Parks Concert SeriesThe Dallas Symphony Orchestra is proud to present free community concerts for the Dallas/Fort Worth area. These concerts are hosted both within the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center and at local parks and recreation centers. These concerts have entertained over 75,000 individuals and continue to grow and expand with Dallas. The Symphony is able to perform these concerts because of generous donations from corporate, foundation and individuals donors in Dallas.

Community Parks Concert Series

The Dallas Symphony Orchestra Community Parks Concert Series is a series of free outdoor performances by the Symphony in Dallas-area parks held throughout the spring. Produced in conjunction with the City of Dallas' Parks and Recreation, these concerts attract up to 30,000 music enthusiasts annually.
The six-part concert series continues to serve large cross-segments of our community. The series includes three annual events which have become traditions in Dallas, the Easter Concert at Lee Park, DSO at the Arboretum, and the Memorial Day Concert at Flagpole Hill.

African American and Latino Concerts

The annual African American and Latino Concerts are held at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center. Created in 1992, these concerts showcase nationally and internationally renowned African American and Hispanic conductors and the music of legendary and emerging ethnic composers.
These concerts celebrate the contributions of African Americans and Latinos to symphonic music. The concerts feature guest conductors, musicians and composers of African and Latin descent.
